A man has been taken into custody following a violent bar brawl in Jefferson City that ended in tragedy.
The Jefferson City Police Department has arrested Kamari Balton, aged 26, in connection with the incident that occurred at Twisted Chicks bar.

The violent altercation took place on August 17 at Twisted Chicks, located in the 2700 block of Industrial Drive. According to reports, officers arrived at the scene to find 49-year-old Rafael Ayala unconscious.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Ayala to University Hospital. Despite medical efforts, Ayala succumbed to his injuries later that day.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives from the Jefferson City Police Department identified Kamari Balton as a suspect. A warrant was issued by the Cole County Prosecutor’s Office for Second-Degree Murder.
