On Friday, NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss revealed on Instagram Live that he has been fighting a cancer that was discovered outside of his intestine duct between his liver and pancreas.
With the help of a cane, Moss identified himself as a cancer survivor and expressed gratitude to his prayer warriors for their encouragement. On Thanksgiving, he experienced urine staining and underwent a Whipple procedure to implant a stent on his liver.
Moss claimed he is using chemotherapy and radiation to nurse himself back to full health after spending the last six days in the hospital before leaving on Friday.
According to a statement from the network, Moss took a long leave of absence from his position as an analyst on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown on December 6 in order to concentrate on a personal health issue. After spending 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (1998–2004, 2010), Oakland Raiders (2005–06), New England Patriots (2007–10), Tennessee Titans (2010), and San Francisco 49ers (2012), Moss was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
With 156 touchdown catches, Moss is second in NFL history. In 2007, he grabbed an NFL-high 23 touchdowns.
