Pittsburgh –A groin injury sustained by Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi during the first half of the club’s game against the Cleveland Browns is not as serious as the team had feared, and Ogunjobi may play this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Although head coach Mike Tomlin left the option for both Ogunjobi and safety DeShon Elliott to play this week open, they are expected to be limited early in the week. The team was hopeful they would play, he said.
To play on Sunday, Ogunjobi will require a certain amount of participation. Although Ogunjobi’s ailments have plagued the squad in previous years, he has performed better this season in terms of keeping fit and playing. Prior to the season, he declared that he had never felt better throughout his time at Pittsburgh.
Montravius Adams might come off injured reserve to assist with the team’s interior defensive line depth if he is unable to play. The Steelers would also use additional fill-ins from Isaiahh Loudermilk and Dean Lowry.
