A former starting running back for Penn State is once again searching for a new home.

Keyvone Lee, who transferred from Penn State to Mississippi State, said on social media Monday that he was re-entering his name in the transfer site.

Lee was the top rusher for the Nittany Lions in 2020 and 2021. He joined with Penn State’s 2020 recruiting class as a four-star talent.

In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Lee recorded 438 running yards and four touchdowns on 89 runs (4.92 yards per carry) as a true freshman. Lee had 530 yards and two touchdowns on 108 running attempts (4.91 yards per carry) in 2021.

However, when Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen joined in 2022, Lee’s output decreased as a junior. The talented freshman took over the backfield at Penn State, and Lee made the decision to transfer along with Devyn Ford and Caziah Holmes.

When Lee arrived at Mississippi State, his influence was little. In 16 games over the course of two seasons, Lee amassed 215 running yards and one touchdown. Because he only participated in four games this season, he was able to access the portal and keep his redshirt.

Lee is still eligible for one more year.

I’m going to put my name as a graduate transfer on the transfer portal. #GODSPEED#LastLappic.twitter.com/Z7ttfPYoNI
