In connection with the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City last week, a man is being detained in Altoona.

The individual was recognized by the news outlet, the New York Times, as Luigi Mangione, age 26. According to Mangione’s LinkedIn page, which has been cited by various news outlets, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s and master’s degree.

According to the New York Times, a witness who recognized Mangione from police photos saw him at a McDonald’s in Altoona just after nine in the morning on Monday.
