Another former Nittany Lions assistant is apparently moving, one day after former Penn State running backs coach Charles Huff did the same.

According to a preliminary report by Brandon Marcello of 247Sports, Florida State will hire offensive line coach Herb Hand, who is now with UCF, in the same role. Hand will follow his most recent boss with the transfer.

On December 2, Gus Malzahn, the former head coach of UCF, was formally appointed Florida State’s new offensive coordinator.

Hand served on James Franklin’s staff at Vanderbilt before following Franklin to Penn State, where he served as coach from 2014 to 2015. While in Happy Valley, he also served as the coordinator of the run game.

From 2016 to 2017, Hand attended Auburn; from 2018 to 20, he was at Texas; and finally, he most recently attended UCF.
