Pittsburgh –Against the Cleveland Browns, two Pittsburgh Steelers defensive starters sustained injuries. Larry Ogunjobi, the defensive lineman, had a groin injury, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Donte Jackson, the cornerback, was in and out of the game due to a back issue, but he was not mentioned. Jackson was wearing a heating pad on his back in the locker room.
Ogunjobi did not return after suffering an injury early in the first half. For the remainder of the game, Isaiahh Loudermilk took over. For the remainder of the game, Loudermilk, Keeanu Benton, and Cam Heyward were the only active interior defensive lineman. With Ogunjobi absent, the squad opted to rely more on their four outside linebacker package.
Jackson was replaced by James Pierre, who stopped Jameis Winston on an overthrew seam shot. Other than that, the Steelers did not sustain any injuries. George Pickens, who missed Sunday’s game due to a hamstring injury, is obviously not included in that. When asked if Pickens will play next week, Tomlin was evasive.
