After conducting a vigilante investigation into what she believed to be an assault on her son by one or more players, a Carlisle woman will not face additional jail time for making internet accusations against several parents and children participating in the local midget football program.
Abba Copes, 39, of the 200 block of E Street, was found guilty of illegally recording and publishing what the victims believed to be private conversations regarding Copes’ charges against the football players. Copes was sentenced to six to 23 months in prison.
