For the 2024–25 season, girls wrestlers in the Mid-Penn Conference begin their second season of officially sanctioned varsity competition, which may easily outstrip the enthusiasm and skill demonstrations of the first season.
There are no official divisions or league schedules for girls wrestling in the Mid-Penn Conference. In addition to a number of invitational tournaments held throughout the year in preparation for the postseason, dual meets are scheduled.

Important wrestlers include Heaven Ramirez, Jr., (170), Esther Reed, Jr. (235), Evelyn Hippensteel, Sr. (112), Jordyn Suhina, Sr. (106), Emma Barrick, Sr. (102), and Erica Diep, Sr. (124).
The Buzz: A significant number of seasoned wrestlers are back in the Bulldogs’ roster. At the regionals, Reed took third place. Suhina finished fifth in the regional medal standings with 25 victories. Barrick scored 20 victories.

Belle Allen, Jr. (148), Molly Sowers, Jr. (130), Hailey Thumma, Jr. (124), Amanda Delevan, Sr. (136), Ellie Shoemaker, Sr. (155), Miley Rivers, Sr. (190), and Bre Irvin, So. (170) are important wrestlers.
The Buzz: A seasoned core group of returnees who finished third as a team in the District 3, Section 1 competition and won nine dual meets the previous season are expected to do big things. Sowers won the District sectional gold after a 21-bout contest. Shoemaker earned district bronze after winning 20 fights. Delevan had 20 victories and district silver, while Thumma had 21.

Important wrestlers are Emmalee Sabo, So (124), Alisha Hidalgo, Jr. (148), and Keely Nunn, Jr. (130).
The Buzz: Three prominent returnees are on Camp Hill’s eight-man roster: Sabo, who won 24 fights, including a district gold, narrowly missed qualifying for the state tournament. Last year, Hidalgo won 29 fights. Nunn was an eight-time winner.

The Buzz: Kuhn (24 wins), who finished third in sectionals and second in regionals the previous season, is back with the Thundering Herd. Adams qualified for the state championship with 24 victories. Stevens was a regional qualifier with 13 victories.

The Buzz: Following an 11-win first season, the Rams appear to be back on track this year. Gilfoil, who committed to Lock Haven University, lost her sole fight of the year in the 148-pound state final after winning 30 straight fights. Johnson finished third at sectionals and regionals and won 29 fights. Morales won with a score of 22-bout.

Sharban was a regional silver medalist. Seagreaves, Hechler and O Brien all won 20-plus bouts and were regional qualifiers. Dougherty and Montes were Nationals qualifiers at Fargo.

Murray won 28 bouts and was third at sectionals and fifth at regionals. Dykes won 20 bouts and Cline 18 last year. Incoming freshman Smith finished fifth at under 16 Nationals at Fargo at 100 pounds.

Zoey Haines, Gettysburg
Haines, who had won an unsanctioned state title in 2023 followed that up by taking a 7-2 decision over Charlotte Gilfoil of Central Dauphin for the 148-pound PIAA crown in 2024. Haines finished her championship season with a 33-2 record and registered 27 pins on the season and avenged her only two losses of the season both to Gilfoil in the state final.
