On Thursday Night Football, former NFL offensive lineman and CBS Sports analyst Ross Tucker will pay tribute to the late Eagles linebacker Maxie Baughan as part of the NFL’s My Cause, My Cleats initiative.
Tucker will promote the Concussion Legacy Foundation as his charity of choice and wear bespoke shoes in remembrance of Baughan and retired Chicago Bears center Mike Pyle during the Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions broadcast. Tucker has chosen to help CLF for the fourth year in a row.
From 1960 to 1965, Baughan was one of the league’s most feared linebackers for six seasons with the Eagles. Dr. Ann McKee determined that Baughan had stage three CTE after his death in 2023 at the age of 85. As one of the three Seniors category finalists, the Eagles Hall of Famer is just one step away from being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Following his passing in 2015, former Bears center Pyle was also given a stage four CTE diagnosis.
During Weeks 14 and 15, Tucker will be wearing unique cleats to promote a charity of their choice, along with other analysts, commentators, and players.
