The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory on Wednesday at 2:23 p.m. that is valid for Thursday between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties, as well as Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, and Eastern Montgomery.

“West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected,” the weather service says. “A cold frontal passage on Thursday morning may produce a few isolated peak gusts of between 55 and 60 mph. Snow showers may also accompany the front, which might cause temporary deterioration of visibility and slick areas on roads.

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. The weather agency says that there may be a few power disruptions and the possibility of tree branches being blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
