Pittsburgh –On Tuesday at 9 p.m., the Pittsburgh Steelers will debut on HBO Max’s Hard Knocks. The NFL has tried to get the Steelers on Hard Knocks for years, but the team has avoided the show over its 23-year existence.
For the first time, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the AFC North’s in-season version, which will feature all four clubs in the division rather than just the Steelers.
Despite being the show’s headliner, head coach Mike Tomlin sees it as a challenge. Tomlin responded that he would not be attending the premiere tonight. During the entire game on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, he was mic’d up. Tomlin wants to get rid of that load.
In Tomlin’s words, “To me is something to conquer,” We need to handle it better than the other three teams, to be honest with you. I see a lot of things that come up on my plate that way, especially when they are handled by someone else. My concern is not so much about the inconvenience as it is about whether we are setting ourselves up to outperform our competitors in those circumstances. Therefore, it is a problem that all of the people in the AFC North must deal with. Our goal is to outperform the other three teams.
Given that crews have now been present for a few weeks, it will be interesting to see what information the Steelers disclose. In any case, this is a unique opportunity for Steelers supporters to witness how the team operates behind the scenes.
