DeMarvin Leal, a defensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers, disclosed that he underwent surgery six weeks ago on X after suffering a neck injury against the Dallas Cowboys that put him on injured reserve.

Although Leal is gone for the season, the squad is hoping he will return the following year. To help cover Leal’s absence, they acquired Preston Smith.
Steelers coaches complimented Lealas, a former third-round pick out of Texas A&M, for finally having a breakout summer and for appearing to be turning the corner. Smith was the trade deadline substitute for him since he could play both indoors and outdoors.
The Steelers will have all four of their outside linebackers healthy for the first time this season. In order to regain his place in the rotation, Leal intends to recover and return in 2025 with a great showing.
