The union that represents the correctional officers employed at those facilities is not happy with Gov. Shapiro’s latest state budget proposal, which calls for closing two state prisons.
The identities of the two prisons are still unknown. The two community correctional facilities, often known as halfway houses, have not been incorporated into shutdown preparations.
