Even though former President Joe Biden has only been out of office for a month, he is already taking significant steps in his post-presidential career.

The 46th President has joined the ranks of Creative Artists Agency, or CAA, one of the largest talent agencies in the entertainment sector. Beyonc and Tom Hanks are among the well-known Hollywood figures that the CAA represents.

The LA Times reports that on January 3, the agency signed the former president. In a statement, CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett said that they are honored to collaborate with the politician.

According to Lovett, one of America’s most admired and significant voices in both domestic and international affairs is President Biden. He has dedicated his life to serving the public with dignity, hope, unity, and opportunity. It is a great honor for us to work with him once more.

After serving his second term as vice president under the Obama administration, Biden previously signed a contract with CAA from 2017 to 2020. He launched the American Promise Tour and his biography Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose during this period. According to the organization, over 85,000 tickets were sold nationally for the trip.

He will be represented by the CAA in all capacities, including speaking engagements and publication. The LA Times claims that the former president might make a lot of money from this new agreement.

According to the LATimes article, Biden may have lucrative opportunities. Because of the success of his book and speaking engagements, Biden’s income increased significantly during the previous time he signed with CAA. In the two years following his resignation, his salary increased from less than $400,000 annually when he was vice president to almost $15 million.

According to the Associated Press, Biden faced a great deal of criticism after taking his leave of absence for pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, who had been found guilty of federal felonies related to guns and taxes. According to the Associated Press, just roughly two out of ten Americans agreed with his choice, which hurt his approval ratings.

The former president, who held office from 2021 to 2025, was the oldest individual to hold the post at the age of 82. The median age of all U.S. presidents on the day of their first inauguration is 55, per Pew Research.
