There were concerns regarding other players on the Los Angeles Rams’ roster after they announced that they would trade wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Matthew Stafford, the quarterback, is one of those who isn’t growing any younger. Would Stafford and the Rams be traded as a result?
Perhaps, and a number of people have predicted that Stafford will end up with the Pittsburgh Steelers if it occurs. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer stated that the Steelers should see how Stafford is doing if that turns out to be feasible.
Breer is not alone, though, in advocating for the Steelers along this line. The same thing was said last week by former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovksy, who ruled out Pittsburgh as a potential destination for Stafford.
To be honest, that would be my first choice if I were the Giants, the Steelers, or many other clubs. Orlovsky stated, “Try to see what the plan is for Matthew Stafford.”
Despite being a superstar, Stafford may be deteriorating as he ages. In order to fix the quarterback position, Steelers team president Art Rooney wants to have an alternative in place for at least two years. Over the past few seasons, the Steelers have traded quarterbacks in an attempt to find a solution, but they haven’t been successful.
