PHILADELPHIA (AP) After visiting the scene with investigators and local authorities, U.S. delivery Secretary Sean Duffy stated Monday that the impact area where a medical delivery plane crashed in Philadelphia was noticeably large.

Duffy claimed to have been astounded by its size. and the problems that the police and fire department were facing. Once more, there are a lot of people living here.

All six occupants of the Learjet 55 air ambulance perished in the crash on Friday night, including a girl who was undergoing treatment at Shriners Children’s Philadelphia hospital. On the ground, a seventh person inside a car was killed.

Two more individuals have been discovered as having been injured on the ground, increasing the total to 24, according to Mayor Cherelle Parker. On Monday, four patients—two in severe condition—were still in the hospital.

Parker claimed that watching the crash tape has caused her to consider what would have happened if a gas line had been struck.

Valentina Guzm n Murillo and her mother, Lizeth Murillo Osuna, were being transported to Mexico by air ambulance. After taking off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, it fell within a minute.

Pieces of the plane were blown into the residential and commercial Castor Gardens neighborhood, seriously injuring at least 11 homes and numerous businesses. The crash debris burst into a blaze.

According to Duffy, the aircraft came down at an extremely steep angle.

According to Duffy, the aircraft’s cockpit voice recorder, which was found around 8 feet below the surface of the earth, was en route to Washington, D.C., for analysis. Investigators hope to recover flight data from the jet’s ground proximity warning system, despite the plane’s lack of a data recorder, he said.

Information such as the aircraft’s location or speed can be obtained from that device. “Hopefully, we will be able to obtain some data from that device,” he stated.

The Philadelphia catastrophe happened two days after the deadliest U.S. aviation tragedy in a generation, in which an Army helicopter carrying three troops and an American Airlines flight carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided in midair in Washington, D.C.

According to hospital officials, the girl who perished in the Philadelphia crash had just finished therapy for an illness that is difficult to cure in Mexico. Copilot Josu Jurez of Veracruz and neonatologist Dr. Ra l Meza of the State of Mexico near Mexico City were also killed in the aircraft.

Medevac Medservice 056 was instructed to veer right when departing by an air traffic controller at Northeast Philadelphia Airport, according to audio caught by LiveATC. The controller asks, “You on frequency?” after repeating the request for about 30 seconds. The controller announces, “We have a lost aircraft,” a few minutes later. We’re trying to figure out what happened because we don’t know exactly what it is. The field will be closed for the time being.
