Tyler Santucci was hired by Baltimore as their new linebacker coach, the team formally announced. The 36-year-old Santucci was a standout student at New Kensington’s Valley High School.

After serving in the same capacity at Duke the previous season, Santucci was Georgia Tech’s defensive coordinator this past season.

Although he has had positions at Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Texas State, and Stony Brook, this is his first NFL employment.

After graduating from Valley in 2006, Santucci was a standout linebacker and running back for the Vikings.

He started his collegiate career at Stony Brook, where he played linebacker and was named to two All-Big South teams in addition to winning the 2009 Big South Defensive Player of the Year award.

After his career ended, he quickly transitioned to coaching, and in 2010 he became a graduate assistant at Stony Brook.

Santucci will now take Mark DeLeone’s place as defensive coordinator for Baltimore in 2025, working under defensive coordinator Zach Orr, after being considered for the role at Clemson and other NFL options.
