We have witnessed worrisome examples of the incoming president’s personal pettiness among the confirmation hearings, the deluge of executive orders, and the obvious attempt to halt certain federal agencies in their tracks. President Trump found time to strip a number of people who had offended him in some way of their security protections as he was getting used to the most important position on earth.

In the previous Trump administration, Mike Pompeo was Secretary of State. In that capacity, every state-sponsored terrorist organization targeted him. The United States planned Qasem Soleimani’s death in 2020. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard was led by the ruthless Soleimani, who was regarded as the Supreme Leader of Iran’s second-in-command. Iran promised retaliation and singled out Mike Pompeo for assassination.

That threat still exists, and President Trump is aware that by eliminating Secret Service protection, he is endangering his former advisor.

Trump has also let go of Gen. Mark Milley, the former head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Following a 45-year military career and an impeccable record of devotion to his nation and the world, Milley has spent his own money on bulletproof glass for his home and cars. Why? because he is expendable, according to the present president.

Lastly, the first Trump administration’s top medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, is in danger. It was Fauci who guided the United States through the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. President George W. Bush awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Fauci has been subjected to real threats to his life every day due to the relentless assaults from MAGA, which were incited by Trump himself. The president in office doesn’t give a damn. Fauci’s protection has been terminated by him.

In a recent development, Trump declined to take the lead in the deadly airline disaster at Reagan National Airport, instead choosing to disparage his alleged adversaries. Trump specifically blamed former President Biden for the entire event. Why? Probably because too many pilots and air traffic controllers were employed under government diversity policies.

According to the New York Times, this demonstrated Trump’s propensity to instantly interpret significant events via his ideological or political prism, regardless of how well the facts match.

A month ago, a violent terrorist incident occurred in New Orleans. Trump blamed it on illegal immigration, despite the fact that the assailant was a Texas-born American citizen.

I issued a warning to all voters in December 2023, well before the election season got underway. The potential destruction of representative government as we know it and the emergence of a personal dictatorship with plans for retaliation and revenge are the most unsettling aspects of the former president’s potential second term. Throughout the nation, Trump has used those exact words in his campaign speeches. He recently pledged to use the Department of Justice as a weapon to target all American Marxist prosecutors and eradicate the radical-left thugs that prowl around our nation like rodents. A man who aspires to a more ideal partnership would not say these things. These are the outbursts of a vindictive, unrestrained would-be king. The clock is ticking on the Trump time bomb. The presidential primary season and the time when contenders will secure their party nominations are becoming nearer by the day. Reasonable Republicans need to wean themselves off of a flawed candidate with less than decent intentions.

Thus, we are witnessing the emergence of a new system that is not grounded in truth. Even worse is the way it permeates everything it does with its own version of reality, from defending the targeting of public employees to accusing opponents of causing disasters for which they bear no culpability at all.

George Orwell wrote an article long after he wrote about autocracy in 1984 to warn us all about falling for people who misuse authority or distort the facts to fit their own narrative. All political groups, from Conservatives to Anarchists, use political terminology, albeit with variances, to make lies seem like the truth, make murder seem acceptable, and give pure wind the impression of solidity.

Despite being aware of Trump’s tendency toward retaliation, the electorate chose him. In the upcoming months, let’s hope that the tone and the menace of this government lessen enough for everyone to feel more at ease.
