According to news reports, Matt Pinfield, the former host of MTV’s 120 Minutes, suffered a huge stroke on January 6 that has left him unable to take care of himself.

His daughter Jessica has applied for conservatorship of Pinfield, 63, to oversee his financial and medical decisions, according to TMZ, which broke the story on Monday. According to the website, she is also worried that his girlfriend will deplete his finances.

Variety was informed by one of his reps that he is presently in the hospital.

One of the most well-known personalities on MTV in the 1990s, Pinfield hosted the alt-rock program 120 Minutes from 1995 to 1999 in addition to other programs and specials on the network. From 2011 until 2013, he was back to host a fresh edition of the show on MTV2.

In 2001, Pinfield left MTV to take a position at Columbia Records as vice president of A&R and Artist Development. Additionally, he has hosted radio programs on numerous stations.

A Facebook post from station KCSN, where famed DJ Matt Pinfield currently hosts a show, stated that Pinfield will be taking a temporary leave of absence for personal reasons. We expect to hear Matt’s enthusiastic rock ‘n’ roll expertise again soon, and we wholeheartedly support him.
