The positions the Pittsburgh Steelers choose to target in the NFL Draft are never a secret, and 2025 seems to be no exception. The defensive line is Pittsburgh’s primary focus, and on Wednesday, they focused on a new position: wide receiver.

The defensive line remained the Steelres’ primary concern. Since the group is too deep and a double dip makes some sense, expect them to do it in this round. For a large portion of the session, defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and head coach Mike Tomlin kept a careful eye on the defensive line, indicating the team’s interest in it.

However, they also targeted wide receivers in addition to the defensive line. While Mike Tomlin alternated between the defensive line and wide receivers, offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and general manager Omar Khan kept a close eye on the wide receivers. Tomlin appeared particularly engaged with both groups today, even putting some players up against one other in one-on-one matches. The defensive line and wide receiver continue to be the Steelers’ top two objectives.
