Patrick Queenis, the outstanding linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is on his way to the Pro Bowl. Queen was chosen as a backup for Roquan Smith, a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, who was unable to play.
Queen made his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2023 while playing for the Ravens, and he is now a two-time Pro Bowler. Even though Queen had a more turbulent year in 2023, he was also chosen as a second-team All-Pro.
Queen will remain with the Steelers until the 2026 campaign after agreeing to a three-year, $41 million contract. The Baltimore Ravens had to let Queen go since they had already invested money in the position with Roquan Smith. Queen was particularly disappointed that the Ravens never made him an offer to even consider coming back.
Queen had a mixed season in his debut season with the Steelers, and things did not turn out the way the team had intended. He performed well in some areas but struggled in others and lacked good processing or eye discipline.
In any case, Queen will return in 2025 and be a vital member of the Steelers’ defense going forward. However, as he begins the second year of a three-year contract, he must recover.
