At 5:53 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for Indiana’s Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges, and Higher Elevations that would be in force until 1 p.m.
As an additional precaution, the weather service warns of “West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”
“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. “Please report downed trees, power lines or large branches by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using Twitter @NWSPittsburgh.”
