At 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Huntingdon, Fulton, Franklin, Snyder, Northumberland, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York, and Lancaster counties that would be in effect from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

“West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected,” the weather service said. “The strongest winds will occur before a sharp cold front moves through from the north.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down.
