At 8:56 a.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service published an updated report predicting significant snowfall in Southern Centre and Union County through 9:30 a.m.

“At 8:56 a.m., a band of heavy snow was along a line extending from near Mifflinburg to 12 miles south of Lock Haven to Bellefonte and moving east at 50 MPHthis includes Interstate 99 near mile marker 84,” according to the meteorological service.

“In winter weather conditions, conditions can rapidly deteriorate,” the weather service continues. Be ready for roads covered with ice or snow. To get to your destination, slow down and give yourself more time.
