At 3:54 a.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a weather notice for Northern Erie, Southern Erie, and Crawford County, predicting snow showers through 5 a.m.

“At 3:53 a.m., radar indicated snow showers along a line extending from 8 miles northwest of Westfield to 11 miles northwest of Girard to 30 miles north of Fairport Harbor, moving southeast at 25 mph,” according to the meteorological service.

Erie, Ashtabula, Conneaut, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Corry, Edinboro, Geneva, North East, Union City, Girard, North Kingsville, Cambridge Springs, Waterford, Albion, Wattsburg, Canadohta Lake, Northwest Harborcreek, Lincolnville, Riceville, and Harborcreek are among the places affected by the alert. If you have to travel, exercise extreme caution. Accidents may result from sloppy roadways and abrupt changes in visibility.
