The committee on equity and human resources of the Penn State Board of Trustees, which is responsible for approving high-paying university contracts, convened Monday morning to discuss a personnel issue.
Jim Knowles, the new defensive coordinator at Penn State, was hired by James Franklin from Ohio State, the national champions, and his contract was formally approved by the committee in a meeting that began at 8 a.m. and opened to the public via webcast at 8:45 a.m. At the committee’s meeting on Monday, there were no objections.
It’s official. Greetings from Happy Valley!XwoyEs20sv @CoachJimKnowlespic.twitter.com #WeArex
