Simple Minds, a band from the UK, has announced their first live tour in North America in forty years.
The Alive & Kicking Tour 2025 will make one appearance in Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 14 at Philadelphia’s The Mann.
Modern English and Soft Cell will provide support during the tour. According to Live Nation, the tour takes place on the 40th anniversary of the 1985 smash hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” and the seven-time gold-certified studio album “Once Upon a Time.”
The Breakfast Club, a classic John Hughes film starring Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy, had the song “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”
Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill are the members of Simple Minds.
Today saw the release of a unique, brand-new, nine-track digital version of Once Upon a Time, which now includes Don’t You (Forget About Me). The song will be played by Simple Minds on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, January 29.
On Wednesday, January 29th, ticket presales begin at 10:00 a.m. On Friday, January 31, general ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
To commemorate the BBC debut of the documentary Simple Minds: Everything Is Possible, they recently released their new track, “Your Name In Lights.” Dates for Live Nation North American streaming will be announced shortly.
