According to several sources, Davis Love III, a former PGA Tour champion, had open heart surgery this week and is now recuperating at home.

The news about the 60-year-old golf legend was first reported by CBS Jim Nantz.

According to Nantz, Love III underwent surgery to fix a leaking valve that was initially identified roughly ten years prior.

According to Nantz, Love III stated, “I went in healthy, and I came out healthier.”

According to reports, Love III underwent the procedure at Jacksonville, Florida’s Mayo Clinic.

“Now, I have cow parts in my thumb and heart,” Love III texted Golfweek. I hope you strike it harder and don’t moan!

The golfer won the 1997 PGA Championship and has won 21 times on the PGA Tour.

Love III is still a member of the PGA Tour Champions and is inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

According to USA Today, Love III has made 790 appearances on the PGA Tour and has stated his desire to surpass Mark Brooks’ record of 803.
