The Celtics hope to defeat the Mavericks, who are without Luka Doncic, on their home court on Saturday night in order to cap off a four-game Western road tour in style. Boston began this run with road victories against the Los Angeles Clippers (117-113 overtime) and the Golden State Warriors (125-85), but lost to the LA Lakers (117-96) on Thursday, dropping to 2-1 on the road trip.

Despite Doncic’s longer-term injury and Irving’s two-week absence, the Mavs have been fighting and surviving. After making a comeback to the starting lineup last week, Irving led the Oklahoma City Thunder to victories twice, most notably on Thursday night, 121-115 on the road.
