The majority of early mocks by mainstream experts have focused on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ need for a wide receiver. The most recent wide receiver to be selected by Daniel Jeremiah for the Steelers was not Emeka Egbuka of Ohio State. Matthew Golden, a wide receiver who has risen rapidly in recent weeks, was selected by the Steelers in his mock selection.

I don’t believe the Steelers could make a mistake by selecting Emeka Egbuka of Ohio State or Golden. Although they both run professional routes and have exceptional hands and toughness, they choose Golden in this instance, according to Jeremiah.

When an injury forced Isaiah Bond to miss or be limited for a large portion of the College Football Playoffs, Golden took over as Texas’ primary wide receiver. After that, Golden became the team’s main target on an offense in need of a boost, and he made several clutch plays in the closing minutes.

All of it results in him being selected in the first round following those performances against elite opponents. Pittsburgh may select Golden, who now seems to be in the driver’s seat to land inside the Steelers’ range.
