The work of faith leaders is difficult. Whether they like it or not, they are tasked with informing those who dare to listen exactly what they don’t want to hear. Doing so requires bravery, which not everyone possesses.
We just commemorated the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, who exposed the hypocrisy of America’s all men are equal creed and set a supreme example of faith and courage. To do so, he was prepared to die, and he did.
