Pittsburgh –The Pittsburgh Steelers, who are strongly favored, will host the New York Giants on Monday night football. It makes natural that the Steelers would be favored in this week’s matchup after a game in which Russell Wilson and the team’s attack dominated the New York Jets and their defense.
However, the Giants defense and Dexter Lawrence (+300 DPOY odds on DraftKings) can pose serious problems for the Steelers offense. Who will emerge victorious, then?
My predictions for this game are as follows:

Players on the spot: It would be malpractice for the Steelers to select anyone else here except Ryan McCollum. McCollum must play Lawrence, who is currently perhaps the best defensive player in the game, since center Zach Frazier will be sidelined for another week due to a high ankle sprain. Although McCollum performed admirably against Quinnen Williams, Lawrence is a whole other person. Even if Frazier had been present, it would have been a worry. Mason McCormick will see some snaps against McCollum, so he won’t be doing this alone. To win this game, though, they must slow him down. Lawrence has the ability to ruin the game himself.
Whoever the Giants’ starting tackles are, they need to be extremely vigilant. Any team’s strategy can be ruined by T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith, and Daniel Jones is already having trouble, so any further pressure could lead him to make poor choices. Depending on which team can slow down the other stars, this game will be decided in the trenches.
Don’t be shocked if the Steelers dominate the defensive trenches. They ought to oppose the Giants’ offensive line, which is porous. Over the past two weeks, the Giants have only managed to score 10 points, but this week could be different. This offense’s lack of success against the Steelers defense makes it difficult to believe in. Despite having talented players like Tyrone Tracy, Darius Slayton, and Malik Nabers, the Giants offense lacks coherence and appears to be lacking in identity. The Steelers are in a position where they can pin their ears back and get quality pass rush reps against a depleted Giants offensive line, especially when you consider that Jones does not get rid of the ball quickly.
With eight forced turnovers in the previous three weeks, the Steelers should be able to continue on their strong defensive showing this week.

PREDICTION: The Giants may be able to break out because they have the weapons, despite their offensive struggles in recent weeks. The Giants have enough firepower up front to cause some problems for the Steelers’ offense, so they may also suffer in this game. But more than anything else, I think this will unfold similarly to the Bengals-Giants game. Even if the Giants’ offense plays poorly, the defense should be able to stop them.Giants 10; Steelers 20
