Saquon Barkley is running.
Witness the fastest running back in the National Football League, Saquon Barkley.
In Sunday’s NFC divisional round victory against the Los Angeles Rams at a snowy Lincoln Financial Field, Barkley, the former Penn State and All-Pro running back who joined the Eagles before to the 2024 season, went on a clinic.
He ran for 205 yards at the end of the game and scored two touchdowns (62 and 78 yards) on 26 carries. Barkley’s 205 rushing yards in one postseason game rank fifth in league history.
With 2,329, Barkley now ranks third in NFL history for rushing yards in a season, including playoffs. The only two records he is behind are Terrell Davis’s 2,331 yards in 1997 and 2,476 yards in 1998. Reminiscent of his 255-yard, two-touchdown performance against the same Rams in Week 12, Barkley scored two rushing touchdowns of 60 yards or more while camping out in the snow at Lincoln Financial Field.
His season-long efforts have propelled the Eagles to Sunday’s NFC Championship matchup with the Washington Commanders.
This season, he has over 100 yards in 13 games and 200 yards twice, both against the Los Angeles Rams.
He has recorded four consecutive 100-yard performances twice this season, including his current run of postseason victories against the Rams and Packers.
In 18 games thus far, Barkley has 15 rushing touchdowns and two additional receiving touchdowns.
After joining the Eagles from the Giants in the previous offseason, he has shown himself to be among the best free agents the team has ever signed.
