Grady Brown, the secondary coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will not be joining the Atlanta Falcons as their defensive coordinator. Rather, the Falcons will appoint Jeff Ulbrich, a former defensive coordinator and interim head coach of the New York Jets, to that position.

Raheem Morris, the head coach of the Falcons, has a lot of experience working with Ulbrich, who was interviewed late in the process. He will now try to improve a defense that has a lot of potential but hasn’t performed up to par since Morris was hired.

Brown came from college to join the Steelers in 2021. Since then, Brown has spearheaded the Steelers’ turnover culture, which has helped them rank first in the league for caused secondary turnovers.

However, some secondary s play has not kept up with the outcomes there. The play was in a state of chaos, and Joey Porter Jr.’s progress stalled. However, Brown is seen as a fast-rising coach in league circles, and the NFL recognized his potential as a coordinator by having him serve as defensive coordinator at the 2022 Senior Bowl.
