Broderick Jones, an offensive tackle, appears to be changing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Steelers source Ray Fittipaldo, the team will try to move 2023 first-round pick Broderick Jones to left tackle, which is his natural position, as four-year starter left tackle Dan Moore Jr. is about to leave.

“The Steelers want to move Broderick Jones to the left side and add Troy Fautanu as their right tackle, despite Moore having been the starting left tackle for four seasons. Fittipaldo wrote that Moore is therefore expendable.

Although it is not his natural position, Jones has played right tackle in almost all of his NFL games. Troy Fautanu’s season-ending injury thwarted the idea to move Jones to that side this season, and Jones spent the entire season at right tackle.

The Steelers appear prepared to move him back to left tackle at this point. This season, Jones gave up the second-most sacks of any NFL offensive tackle, only surpassed by Dan Moore Jr. Whether Jones makes a significant move or not will determine whether the Steelers can achieve the offensive line success they desire after investing a significant amount of money to repair the unit.
