Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson was waived by the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson was let go by Baltimore three weeks ago, but that won’t affect this decision.

Johnson doesn’t have to enter the Ravens’ stadium again, and he might not. No team will be able to sign Johnson this season because the Ravens won’t have his rights until after the Super Bowl. Additionally, the Ravens may receive a free pick if Johnson signs a contract somewhere that is large enough to warrant a compensation pick.

Following a tirade in the locker room after the team’s victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, Johnson was cut by the Houston Texans on Tuesday. Once more, Johnson was unhappy with his use.

He has only received four receptions since Week 8. The Steelers traded him this March, and the Carolina Panthers promptly moved on from him.

The team selected Johnson in the 2019 NFL Draft, and he played for them for five seasons before being traded. This year, he was in the final year of a two-year contract. His current goal is to sign with a new team this offseason.
