According to a recent study by SavingSpot, Pennsylvania is one of the states with the most expensive gas prices when the average hourly earnings in the state is taken into consideration. Specifically, Johnstown came in at number ten on the list of the least affordable cities in the research.
According to the survey, the Pennsylvania city of Johnstown ranks tenth in terms of gas affordability, with a gallon ($3.75) costing 20.04% of the average hourly pay ($18.73). California cities lead the list of the least cheap locations for gas. On the table, Johnstown has much lower earnings and gas prices than the Californian cities that surround it.
In Pennsylvania, the third-largest producer of fossil fuels in the United States and home to more than 93,000 jobs in the oil and natural gas sector, the problems are closely related.
At the state level, the state with the most expensive gas prices was Hawaii. Here, the cost of paying at the pump is about 19.19 percent of the hourly earnings in the area.
Massachusetts is the state with the lowest gas prices when hourly salaries are taken into consideration. The city is Boulder, Colorado.
