Several NFL players are returning to Penn State for the 2025 campaign.In the 2025 NFL draft, Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen, Zane Durant, Dani Dennis-Sutton, and Drew Allar would have all been chosen. Dennis-Sutton and Allar may have even gone in the first round.
However, Penn State is losing two elite players: tight end Tyler Warren and defensive end Abdul Carter. It is predicted that both will finish in the first round. It is anticipated that Carter will rank among the top five.
The official placement of the two Penn State standouts won’t be known until April. However, The Athletic’s chief NFL draft analyst, Dane Brugler, has some preliminary observations.
One of the industry’s most seasoned and well-resourced specialists, Brugler, published his most recent two-round mock draft. It was here that he had Warren and Carter.
Abdul Carter: Cleveland Browns, second overall
A quarterback will undoubtedly be considered here as Deshaun Watson has probably played his final snap for the Cleveland Browns. However, if the appropriate fit isn’t found, I don’t think Cleveland will force the pick. It would be frightening for opposition offenses to see Carter play opposite Myles Garrett. Brugler
Tyler Warren: Indianapolis Colts, 14th overall
It’s clear why this combination will be well-liked throughout the process. The Colts should want Warren to help Anthony Richardson develop because he is quarterback-friendly and NFL-ready, and he will have the testing statistics that general manager Chris Ballard desires.
