This week, snow is predicted to fall in some areas of the Northeast and Midwest of the United States more than others.

The National Weather Service in Pennsylvania issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning, indicating that Erie County might receive over a foot of snow.

There might be accumulations of six to fourteen inches of snow in some areas of the Erie area between one in the morning on Tuesday and one in the morning on Thursday.

Four to seven inches of snow might fall in Crawford County.

Three to seven inches of snow might fall in Warren County.

Two to four inches of snow could fall in McKean County.

Residents in the neighboring western Pennsylvania counties of Cambria and Somerset will be affected by harsh temperatures rather than snow. From midnight Tuesday through 10 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Somerset and Cambria counties. Wind chills as low as 15 degrees below freezing are predicted.

What is the outlook for south central Pennsylvania this week?
