On Tuesday at 3:12 p.m., the National Weather Service issued an updated lake effect snow warning for Northern Erie and Southern Erie that would last until Thursday at 1 a.m.

The meteorological service notes that the dangerous circumstances may affect travel on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. “If you have to go, make sure your car has food, drink, and an additional flashlight in case of an emergency. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation strongly advise drivers to observe all traffic laws and postpone needless travel.
