Following an altercation about Thanksgiving Day plans, Shawn Swingler informed his live-in girlfriend that she would not be going anywhere that day and that he would be canceling work to ensure that she did.

Shortly after, Swingler became agitated and threw the lady to the ground as she attempted to flee their residence in East Pennsboro Township when he found her attempting to call the police.
