Even though Mike Tomlin is anticipated to return for the 2025 campaign, the Pittsburgh Steelers will not sit around doing nothing. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac claims that the Steelers will be changing their coaching staff this offseason. Although he did not specify who would be in danger, things will change.

Although Teryl Austin is the defensive coordinator, Tomlin essentially designs and oversees the defense, thus changes within the coaching staff are probably to be expected, according to Dulac.

One of the coaches who might be fired is Austin. Pat Meyer, the offensive line coach, is another logical choice. It’s unclear, though, how the Steelers will attempt to rotate the coaching staff beyond those two instructors.

The Steelers will make major roster adjustments in addition to some coaching staff changes. Despite an offseason in 2024 that showed a world of change leading to nothing but the same outcome as 2023, the Steelers must turn this around as much as possible.
