Through the transfer portal, a former Penn State quarterback has discovered yet another new school.
On Sunday, 247 Sports reported that Ta Quan Roberson would be moving to Buffalo. After Kansas State, UConn, and Penn State, this will be his fourth university.
At the beginning of the winter window, Roberson, who played for Kansas State in 2024, logged into the transfer site. He will be playing collegiate football for the sixth season.
During the 2019 recruiting season, Roberson, a native of New Jersey, committed to Penn State as a four-star player. Before being thrown into action at Iowa in 2021 after Sean Clifford left with an injury during the top-five clash, he appeared in just two games over his first two seasons. The Roberson-led Nittany Lions defeated 23–20 as they had trouble with the Kinnick Stadium crowd.
Roberson used the site to look for a new school once Christian Veilleux was hired as Clifford’s backup. He played for the Huskies for two seasons while attending UConn. He passed for 2,075 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 2023 while serving as their main starter.
Roberson, who started as Avery Johnson’s backup, entered Kansas State prior to the current season. He made four appearances and completed three passes for eighteen yards.
In order to play for a seventh season, Roberson is probably going to require an NCAA waiver.
