Following their 28-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ postseason futility hit a new low. Pittsburgh now has six consecutive postseason losses, matching the Miami Dolphins for the most in the NFL. Furthermore, it is the franchise’s longest losing run in postseason history.

In the last six losses, the Steelers have fallen behind by 20 points or more in every game, a pattern that has become all too typical for the team. It is really worrisome, and many players find it difficult to adequately explain.

In an attempt to rebuild the squad and end the postseason streak, which has now lasted nine seasons and counting, the Steelers will now conclude their season with exit meetings before entering free agency and the NFL Draft.

Despite Pittsburgh’s impressive postseason record, the team’s recent winless record has also contributed to their general decline.
