Against the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out seven players. Mason McCormick, the starting right guard, will be sidelined for a week due to a broken left hand. Spencer Anderson, a second-year guard, will start in McCormick’s place. Calvin Anderson, an offensive tackle who was just activated, will be the swing tackle.
The Steelers’ two wide outs who were called up from the practice squad are not playing. They are Jamal Angew and Scotty Miller. Although it uses one of the regular heights for both players, it does not harm the Steelers.
The team’s backup quarterback will be quarterback Kyle Allen. Other unexpectedly healthy inactives were found in the interim. Outside linebacker Preston Smith and cornerback Cory Trice Jr. were two of them.
Due to Donte Jackson’s return, Trice, who began against the Cincinnati Bengals, is no longer active. Smith did not play against the Kansas City Chiefs, so this probably boils down to a strategy tailored to the particular game.
Last but not least, defensive lineman Dean Lowry is once again sidelined. It will put Isaiahh Loudermilk, who was not playing a week ago, back in the lineup against the Ravens, who are a run-heavy team.
