Germaine Prattha, a linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals, was fined $22,511 for using his helmet in an unwarrantedly violent hit against Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Najee Harris.
Harris broke several tackles as he escaped out of the backfield for a reception during the play. Pratt struck him squarely in the helmet after coming from his right side. Harris lay unconscious for a few minutes following the play before being led away and examined for a concussion.

This fine recognizes that, in addition to the play, Pratt should have received a 15-yard penalty even though he was not penalized for one on the field. But he wasn’t the only person penalized for this game. George Pickens, the wide receiver for the Steelers, was also penalized $22,511 for needless roughness. On a contested reception, he grabbed Bengals CB Cam Taylor-Britt’s facemask as they were falling to the ground.
