Prior to their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers have activated offensive tackle Calvin Anderson from injured reserve. After missing the previous four weeks due to a groin ailment, Anderson’s window for return was opened this week.
In light of starting right guard Mason McCormick’s injury, Anderson should provide more depth. Due to an injured left hand, McCormick might have to start in place of Spencer Anderson. Anderson was a backup since he was used as the swing tackle in games, and the Steelers may be more adaptable with Calvin Anderson’s depth.
After Troy Fautanu suffered a season-ending knee injury, the Steelers added Anderson to their active roster. This season, he has only made one appearance and gave up a sack.
The Steelers like Anderson’s dependable, seasoned depth as a veteran who has started for the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots. Because of this, he has returned to the 53-man roster after being sidelined for the past four weeks due to an injury.
