In the Pa. Farm Show beer competition, Zeroday Brewing Co. of Harrisburg won best of show for their City Islander.

On January 4, on the eve of the first day of the weeklong annual event, awards were presented.

The brewery’s favorite summer beer is City Islander, a crisp, light Mexican-style lager with a 5% alcohol content. According to the website, this Mexican-style lager is ideal for a day at the beach, the stadium, or wherever in between. It was inspired by some of our favorite pastimes on Harrisburg’s City Island in the Susquehanna River.

American and Specialty IPAs (Double Rodeo, 3rd), International Lagers (City Islander, 1st, and Dark Lager, 2nd), and Spice, Herb, and Vegetable Beers (Mango Hab, 1st) were among the several categories in which Zeroday beers were ranked.

In 2017, the brewery debuted its first Outpost at Broad Street Market. Three years later, it built a second Outpost in the Midtown Cinema lobby.

It established a full-service restaurant and taproom at 925 N. 3rd St. in 2021, and it’s open every day at 11 a.m. At Hershey Fresh Market, it ran an additional Outpost as well.

The American Wheat beer Brooks Drift, produced by the HoppingEagle Brewing Co. in Hawley, Wayne County, won the Pa. Preferred Winner.
