Joey Fisher, a former offensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers, announced on social media on Saturday that he had joined the Atlanta Falcons. Fisher will be able to attend training camp and OTAs as part of his future contract with the Falcons.

Fisher joined the Steelers for training camp this offseason after spending time with their practice squad in 2023, but he was cut. He has participated in multiple NFL tryouts and has spent time elsewhere. The former Shepard player now believes that Atlanta will be the destination that secures his long-term place on an NFL squad.

Fisher, an undrafted free agent in the 2023 NFL Draft, always had a challenge because he attended a lesser school. But now that he has spent two seasons in the NFL, even on practice squads and in training camps, he has a clear advantage in knowing what to expect.
